Chill Out music emerged in the early to mid 1990s being born from several already established genres including acid jazz, house, lounge, electronica and down tempo. A number of now established DJs such as Chris Coco, Alex Paterson, José Padilla, Mixmaster Morris and Unity Dub have specialized in this musical form which White Beetle is proud to explore. Growing in popularity, with festivals and events such as The Big Chill, Shambhala and Sundaze contributing, Chill Out is now established into the mainstream. Tracks including Groove Armada's 'At the River', Massive Attack's 'Teardrop', The Orb's 'Little Fluffy Clouds' and Moby's 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?' have all been club standards and help to secure a promising future for a promising genre.
