An excellent modern interpretation of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Dance de la Fee" - otherwise known as "The Dance Of The Fairies" which is taken from the "The Nutcracker". At two minutes and forty two seconds this well known, enchanting and magical piece of Classical music has been brought to life again with a contemporary dance style using synthesizer bass, guitar, electric piano and drum samples. This surprising alliance works very well and if anything the contemporary feel gives this piece of Classical music an opportunity to be heard in a wonderful new light. The bulk of orchestral arrangement has been carefully reconstructed in the digital domain, the tempo is moderately quick and the music certainly takes you on a glistening and sparkling journey with plenty of twists and turns and finishes on a cheeky and magical note. Featuring quality arrangement skills and a contemporary sound and feel make this royalty free and copyright free music a incredible opportunity for the media producer to bring out the best in his or her production.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893), the famous Russian composer wrote during the Romantic Era and although he knew the rather nationalistic group of composers known as "The Five" he was not one of them, he was however a very "Russian" composer and is considered to be the greatest Russian composer of the nineteenth century. His training was very formal, Western-orientated, but he remained well connected to Russian folk and song and was the most successful in bridging his formal training and techniques with the expression and experiences he drew from his much loved culture and country.
Classical music is a general term that alludes to mainstream music stemming from traditions of Western religious and non religious music stretching from the ninth century until the present day. The expression or term "classical music" was not even used until the early nineteenth century and came about to glorify the Baroque period. Today over prescribed, the term is felt as inappropriate for mainstream and avant-garde music written in the last one hundred years or so. Perhaps one defining aspect of Classical Music is its system of its system of staff notation that leaves very little opportunity for improvisation that is often heard in non-European art music as well as popular music such as Jazz and Blues.
