The Roland D-50, Roland TB-303, Yamaha DX7, Minimoog, Casio CZ-101 and Korg M1 all played, and continue to play, an important role in this genre noted as ever evolving encompassing many genres such as house, breakbeat, trance, electro, techno and D&B.
Kraftwerk, with their industrial sound, and Brian Eno were amongst those leading the way in Electronic Music although many, including Yellow Magic Orchestra, Massive Attack, New Order, Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, Frankie Knuckles, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson/Inner City, Aphex Twin, Underworld and Jean Michel Jarre would soon follow.
