In this Celtic orchestration that features accordion, marimba, banjo, acoustic bass and flutes there is a constant optimistic industriousness, a positive sense of working hard but getting nowhere. There is a simple, very catchy theme that one can whistle along to. Composed in a major key this is a medium tempo march, with one hundred and thirteen beats to the minute and lasts for two minutes and thirty seven seconds.
This is 'onwards and upwards music' that is light-hearted, pleasant and fun. An original composition for all of us who are 'mole hill climbers', this is a very useful piece for suggesting movement and endeavour and linking scenes together. Cartoon work, animation, natural world films, comedy film and television and children's television and film are a few of the many media this music could be used for.
Celtic music is a very broad and general term for music that has developed through out history in the North Western Europe by Celtic tribes and Celtic people (most notably the Scottish, Irish and Manx and the Welsh, Cornish and Bretons). Much of it is still transmitted orally and it is integral to Celtic culture which is also commonly expressed in dance, stories, poetry and crafts.
Though it has become commercialised in the last thirty years to considerable success though not without diluting its traditional feel it can also be said that Celtic Music has successfully adapted itself to the modern world.
Composed by William Peklinsky BMI. Other music by this composer.
