Phantom Lover - 4m07s

A slow tempo for this Smooth Jazz instrumental. Instrumentation is made up of acoustic piano, electric guitar, acoustic drums, electric piano and electric bass guitar. Four minutes and seven seconds long, as you might suspect with a name likePhantom Lover it has a dark and bluesy feel to it, there is mischief and mistrust stamped all over what is a cagey and edgy piece of royalty free music. The main theme of the track is a harmonized melody from the electric guitar and provides an answer and call regime that is answered by some very jazzy and funky electric piano playing. At times sounding like Stevie Wonder with a mid seventies sophisticated smooth jazz feel the track provides a happier or more positive contrast by using more major chords but interestingly maintains the main melody. All in all providing the media producer with a top class solution for his media production. Excellent musicianship and top sound quality make this stock music great value for money.

Smooth Jazz is seen as a contemporary sub genre of Jazz but it is agreed that its roots can be found in pop music, R&B, funk and Jazz fusion. Usually very melodic and relaxing, Smooth Jazz is used frequently as music beds in Film, Television, Radio as well as background music in Hotels, Restaurants, Department Stores and Airports. David Sanborn and George Benson, to name but a few, are artists who helped develop this genre over the last thirty years.

This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo MP3 at 320 kbps or as a 16-bit stereo WAV file. Suitable for all kinds of media productions, including Film production, dramas, documentaries, radio jingles, website development and podcasting.

A medium paced Smooth Jazz instrumental with a serious sounding melody and blues jazz chord progression. Containing several themes and backed by a well versed ensemble consisting of Piano, acoustic guitar, electric bass guitar, flute and acoustic jazz drums Shadows has a grown up and melancholic sound, expressing a mood of uncertainty and
perhaps slight foreboding. A combination of guitar and piano based arpeggios and chromatic melodies help give a sense of dark mood and some degree of resolve is offered in a contrasting chord section where the piano improvises on a more major sounding background. Shadows is three minutes forty nine seconds long and is suitable

Time To Go - 3m46s

A gentle and well produced for this fairly slow paced piece of Smooth Jazz music that is unmistakably romantic. An interesting ensemble of electric piano, electric bass guitar, synthesizer strings and acoustic drums deliver this very soulish piece of music. A delicately played electric piano creates the melody throughout and is augmented in the middle eight / contrast by a lush synthesized string arrangement that lays down a optimistic chord progression in the major. The bass guitar and drums play lightly and restrain the music so as to maintain its gentle flow. Reminiscent of seventies and eighties Smooth Jazz with a definite "ballad" feel. Very competent playing and a lush warm clean sound make this copyright-free music great value for money for the media producer looking for a soft and subtle arrangement to help along his or her media production.

A bossa nova hand percussion rhythm runs through this piece of music that features a thoughtful and pensive theme/melody. The piano opens up in the middle to exhibit some very blues like tinkering with a seventies Billy Joel feel. I'll Be There evolves as it progresses and build ups the instrumentation to prtesent some kind of harmonic resolve towards its end.
A sophisticated and very cool sound for this medium paced piece of Smooth Jazz music. A full band sound consisting of piano, electric bass guitar, acoustic drums, flute and saxophone combine in this stylish bluesy offering. Effortlessly changing gear the saxophone is the star performer here giving gritty melodies and driving the piece along. The piano chips in with a nice solo and together they work off each other providing great musical interplay. This piece of royalty free music oozes quality with the jazz drums and bass guitar giving a seventies funk edge and expertly supporting both saxophone and piano in their solo endeavours.A Cool Breeze provides the media producer an umissable solution for his or her media production. Top class playing, particularly from the the piano and saxophone, and a warm clean sound make this copyright-free music great value for money.

Heart Of Amazon - 5m31s

A South American feel on this medium paced piece of Smooth Jazz music emanating mainly from the rhythm section and particularly the electric bass guitar with its fast and funky bass line. Fender Rhodes creates a nervous and syncopated base for the grand piano to take centre stage with lyrical improvisations that are both exotic and romantic at the same time. The electric piano also contributes a solo with a more bluesy 1960s feel. Steady acoustic guitar stabs run through out this piece of stock music where a passionate vibe is neatly created by the sum of the parts. Heart Of Amazon gives the media producer a stylish solution for his media production. Experienced musicians and a warm clean sound make this copyright-free music great value for money.

The Time Is Now - 3m26s

A medium paced tempo to this pleasant and nicely melodic piece of music.
A complete sounding track led by a lyrical and masterfully played piano. The rhythm section consists of acoustic jazz drums, acoustic guitar and electric bass guitar. The Time Is Now revolves around a pretty piano melody that harmonises with the chord changes as the track progresses. Deft touches and improvisation like figures are added on the piano but the track never strays to far from its recurring melody/theme and it does not need to either as the rhythm section undulates and thoughtfully alters the dynamics in a subtle but interesting way, leaving the listener captured by the overall calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
The Time Is Now provides the media producer with classy solution for his media production. Expert musicians and great sound make this copyright-free music great value for money.

Based around a quarter beat kick drum and a simple Fender Rhodes electric piano motif, Moonscape successfully creates a subtle and dreamy audio landscape. The tempo is medium quick and nice looping bass guitar helps keep this piece of stock music constant. The centre piece of the track has to be the monophonic lead synthesizer part that has been carefully shaped to give it a rich and seventies analogue sound. Underneath the synthesizers are some sampled voices shadowing the melody and giving the piece an otherworldly element and as a whole this piece of background music offers the media produces a neat and careful thought out solution especially if they are looking for sounds similar to Air and Tangerine Dream.

Allemanden No.4 - 0m56s

Allemanden No.4 is the fourth of a series of four pieces of music all sharing the same title. We do not know who wrote this collection of short pieces but it is thought that they were probably written all by the same composer. Also it is thought that they were written just after 1600 which places them at the end of the Renaissance period and at the beginning of the Baroque period. Probably written for the Lute, this version is performed on a Classical Guitar. At just under a minute Allemanden No.4 has a moderate tempo with a charismatic and joyous sound and features some dexterous ornamentation that gives the piece an authentic and lively Baroque feel.

The word Allemande (from the French word meaning "German") is a musical term for a type of dance, it usually was the first dance of an instrumental suite and is called Allemande as a reference to the dance which was thought popular in Germany at the time. In fact it was a very popular dance that had become established and carried on from the Renaissance period. Just as the piece above, the allemande was typically recited with a moderate tempo and could commence with any beat of the bar. In short, the dancers made a line of couples, extended their held hands forward, and paraded up and down the room, making three steps, then balancing on one foot.

A slow paced percussion track based around the drummer's tom toms give this piece of music an unusual atmosphere. Coupled with a strange melody and chord progression A Journey Thru Time has an exotic if not other worldly sound and feel at times. Chromatic chord changes and a discordant feel add to this strange and wonderful atmosphere. The contrast with its melodic musings from the grand piano give this piece perfect counter balance. Instrumentation consists of piano, acoustic drums, double bass, synthesizer strings and vibes. A Journey Thru Time provides the media producer with a well thought out solution for his media production. Good musicianship and sound quality make this copyright-free music great value for money.

Never Give Up - 3m37s

A snazzy medium-quick paced Smooth Jazz instrumental, led by a rhythmic acoustic double bass line. Vibes, flute, piano and triangle all make worthy contributions to this cool and tone setting piece of music. Retro in style and featuring some great improvisation from the piano and vibes, the acoustic jazz drums provide an excellent swinging groove. The electric piano vamps away giving the flute, vibes and piano a solid platform for lyrical melodies, trills and improvisations. The drums, percussion and flute lend this piece a Latin/South American feel. Never Give Up creates a very convincing retro Smooth Jazz feel and provides the film maker with stock music of excellent sound quality and real originality.

Smooth Jazz is a contemporary sub genre of Jazz but is seen as having its roots more in pop music, R&B and funk music. Usually very melodic and relaxing, Smooth Jazz is used frequently as background music in film and TV as well as in Bars, Restaurants, hotels and airports. George Benson, David Sanborn and Chet Baker, to name but a few, are artists who helped develop this genre.

Keeping It Bubbling - 2m41s

Keeping It Bubbling is a hybrid/crossover song featuring Hip Hop type vocals, break beat drums, analog crumar organ, electric bass guitar and electric guitar and backwards tape effects and studio effects such as the Roland Space Echo. An interesting blend of styles including a late 1960s psychedelic sound, a retro SKA/Reggae feel laced with 1980s style vocals and a funky break beat drum rhythm. Very authentic sound, this track was originally released as a single by The Dropfonics on the Sound Of Warm Records home to The Joy Of Living. Keeping It Bubbling is two minutes forty one seconds long and has a warm if Urban sound that is at times slightly menacing due to the Organ hypnotic sound and clever counter melodies. The Chorus breaks into a typical Reggae/Ska skank. A Reggae Dub like bass line underpins the track and the outtro is where the 60s psychedelia takes over with strange backwards sounds and hand percussion. Overall Keeping It Bubbling has a has a warn vinyl sound and provides solutions for the media producer searching for an Urban crossover piece with retro sounds and feel for his media production. Completely organic sound, real instruments and interesting production make this stock music great value for money.

Ciacona - 1m20s

There are many pieces of music written throughout the Renaissance and Baroque period that share the name Ciacona orCiacone. Ciacona is first and foremost a type of musical movement or chord progression with a religious theme, many are written in minor keys and feature ascending chord progressions as if expressing thanks and praise to the firmament. This piece in particular is thought to have been written about 1600 A.D. perhaps by an Italian composer though his or her name is not known. Performed on a classical guitar, though originally it would hav e been played on a Lute, a moderately slow tempo underpins this respectful and serious piece of music that is one minute twenty seconds long. Unlike many of the other pieces in this royalty free music Renaissance category, Ciacona does not exhibit any playfulness or pretty melodies and therefore is useful to the media producer trying to express ideas of a more serious nature in their media production.

Ciacona is an authentic piece of Renaissance music and easily conjures up images of Renaissance courtly manners and gatherings of a religious or official or nature.

This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo MP3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file. Suitable for all kinds of media productions, including beds for Film production, also, Renaissance dramas and Renaissance history programs and documentaries for television and radio.

A slow to moderate tempo for this Smooth Jazz instrumental. Instrumentation made up of acoustic piano, acoustic guitar, acoustic drums, electric piano and double bass/upright bass. Featuring two themes cleverly woven with piano and acoustic guitar melodies. The first and main progression is a series of chords descending in a minor key. The piano and acoustic guitar offer some improvisations on this central theme as the track progresses and as a contrast moves to the major offering some degree of resovle. Always melodic, Slow Burn has a Jazz Blues feel and relaxed but melancholic edge providing the media producer with a classy solution for his media production. Professional musicianship and good sound quality make this stock music great value for money.

Smooth Jazz is seen as a contemporary sub genre of Jazz but it is agreed that its roots can be found in pop music, R&B, funk and Jazz fusion.
Allegretto - 0m58s

Allegretto is a fifty eight second instrumental played on a classical guitar that in Renaiisance times would have been played on a Lute. The word Allegretto is a musical term form a particular tempo, the speed of Allegretto is moderately fast as is this piece of stock music and usually thought to be a little slower than allegro and quicker than andante. Allegretto also means a music passage or movement obviously with the stated tempo. Which means there are many pieces of music called Allegretto and what would usually distinguish them would be their Composer. This piece in particular is anonymous and probably written around 1600 AD but it is quite well known as a Renaissance Allegretto. A thoughtful and perhaps serious piece of music with a descending chord movement and a striking dynamic section which resolves to the major, both sections are repeated twice though played slightly differently each time with skillful attention to varying the attack on the classical guitar's strings.

Allegretto is an authentic piece of Renaissance music and instantly conjures up images of Renaissance meetings, typical courtyard and market scenes.

Laid back and very smooth I Think Of You has an intimate and measured style. A slow but steady tempo regimented by the acoustic drums' rim shot which underpins this piece of stock music. Instrumentation includes acoustic guitar, electric piano, acoustic piano, upright double bass, and acoustic drums. The acoustic guitar leads this piece with a gentle but sophisticated jazz melody that oozes style and atmosphere, followed by more improvised-like piano musings where the electric piano cleverly offers a sense of balance and counter melody.
Branles No.3 - 0m49s

Branles No.3 is a forty nine second instrumental that originally would have been performed on the Lute. Recited in a medium slow tempo with a gentle and pretty feel and a sound that flatters Branles No.3 successfully conjures up images of Renaissance gatherings, dances, typical courtyard scenes or even a market scene. One of a series of three pieces all entitled Branles no information is available about the composer of these three pieces and though the date is probably around 1600 AD not much more is known. Played on a classical guitar Branles No.3 is a typical and elegant example of Branles genre of Renaissance dance music brought to you as stock music.

A Branle is well known as a type of French Renaissance dance where the dancers, usually couples, either line up or create a circle and dance from side to side. its name seems to come from the Italian verbs branler - to shake and brander - to brandish, perhaps go some way as to explain the origins of the Dance’s name. There are four documented types of French Branle; the Double, the Single, the Gay and the Burgundian. Not considered vastly different to the more famous Pavan Branle was not as as well known but managed to become popular throughout Europe even making it as far as Scotland where their local version was known as the Brail.

This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo MP3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.
A classical guitar composition in the key of E minor. Castaway is, as its name suggests, creates a lonely and isolated atmosphere. Tender and very beautifully played Castaway is over two minutes long and has a slow thoughtful tempo that evokes emotions of solitude and tired desperation. Very much a composition for the serious film maker or documentary producer Castaway is Stock Music composition at a very high level. The composer, Sabina Perez, is publishing her works exclusively to White Beetle Publishing, Castaway being available as royalty free music.

The classical guitar has a long history and has evolved through many shapes and forms, and the Modern Classical Guitar is today what most people identify as the classical guitar. Classical guitars are though divided into two categories; those meant for Classical music and those meant for Flamenco music. While both use nylon strings (though different types of nylon strings) both have different construction and generally have different string tensions and actions. Classical guitars are played not with plectrums but by the nails of one’s right hand (if you play the guitar right handed that is) using the rest stroke and free-stroke techniques. Typical tunings for the Classical guitar is the same as for electric and steel string guitars, E A D G B E.

Branles No.1 - 1m00s

Branles No.1 is a minute long instrumental that was probably originally played on the Lute. A gentle tempo and thoughtful or perhaps slightly pensive Branles No.1 really evokes images of Renaissance gatherings, perhaps a dinner, a ball or even a market scene. One of a series of three pieces all entitled Branles no information is available about the composer of these three pieces and though the date is probably around 1600 AD not much more is known. Played on a classical guitar Branles No.1 is a authentic and elegant example of Branles genre of Renaissance dance music brought to you as stock music.

A Branle is a type of French Renaissance dance where the dancers, usually couples, either line up or create a circle and dance from side to side. The Italian verbs branler - to shake and brander - to brandish, perhaps go some way as to explain the origins of the Dance’s name. There are four types of French Branle; the Double, the Single, the Gay and the Burgundian. Not considered vastly different to the more famous Pavan Branle was not as as well known but managed to become popular throughout Europe even making it as far as Scotland, locally known as the Brail.

Passamezzo - 0m31s

It is not known who wrote this this Passamezzo but it is thought that it was composed around the year 1600. A Passamezzo was a popular Italian Renaissance dance similar to the Pavane but faster and in duple metre. A typical chord progression might be in A minor: Am|G|Am|E|| C|G|Am-E|Am||. Perhaps the most obvious example of this type of progression would be Greensleeves. This type of progression was very popular in the Renaissance period and has continued to flourish in Modern music, the Tutles’ “Happy Together” being a good example.

Passamezzo is a short and well performed Renaissance composition performed on a classical guitar. Originally this piece of stock music would have been played on a Lute. A perfect authentic piece of Rennaissance dance music for your media production.

Gailliarde - 1m01s

Gailliarde is a minute long instrumental that would most certainly have been originally played on the lute. This version is played on its modern ancestor - the classical guitar. Written by Pierre Attaingnant in Paris 1529 Gailliarde is a lively and positive example of early Rennaissance dance music.

Gailliarde is not only the name of this piece of music, in fact you will find many pieces of music by different composers sharing the same name, but it also the name for a jaunty and jumpy dance from the French and Italian renaissance period that became popular in many other parts of Europe. In a nutshell, Gailliarde is a largely improvised and athletic type of dance where lots of leaping and jumping takes place in time to the last beats of each musical bar.

Pierre Attaingnant (1494-1551) was a French music printer, publisher, bookseller and composer. Instrumental in publishing many French composers of his period, Attaingnant perhaps published more than fifty collections of the new style compositions, Chansons. Little is attributed to his compositions but it is known that Attaingnant developed a new music printing process which for all its design faults became the preferred method for printing music in the Renaissance period.
This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.

A happy and pleasant piece of music which has both a Celtic folk and Classical music style. Grand Piano and solo Violin combine to create a rich but light hearted musical texture. Fifty two seconds long and with the pace of a slow to medium waltz this royalty free composition evokes images of pastoral scenes, the fresh air of the mountains and country life.

The violin part of this piece of music is what gives the music the Celtic Irish folk feel (perhaps similar to the style of Martin Hayes, the famous Irish folk violinist)as it is playful, dexterous and gives the piece a certain jig like quality. Meanwhile the grand piano provides subtle accompaniment, dynamic and rhythmic that is distinctly classical in style.

This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file. Suitable for all kinds of media productions, including Film production, tv dramas, radio jingles and advertising.

In A major, Menuet is a short and cheerful Baroque music composition from the guitarist and prolific composer and mu Robert de Visée. Written in 1686 and one of a collection of compositions from the composers' 1686 Book Of Pieces for the Guitar, or Livre de Pieces pour la Guitarre.

It is thought that Robert de Visée was Portuguese but no one really knows for sure. It is known also that he studied under the renowned Italian Baroque guitar virtuoso Francesco Corbetta and that this was probably in Paris where Corbetta made a name for himself teaching guitar in the Royal Court of Louis XIV. Robert de Visée followed in his masters’ footsteps, becoming a chamber musician to Louis XIV playing guitar and viol, ultimately he became the maître de guitare du Roy (the Guitar Master of the King). Guitar and Viol were not his only instruments as he played and composed for the Lute and Theorbo.
This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.
Rujero - 0m44s

Rujero is a well known Baroque music composition from the venerable composer/guitarist Gaspar Sanz. One of a series of five compositions collectively known as Paradetas. This piece of music might also have been played on the Lute which was still very much in use in the Baroque period

Gaspar Sanz (1640 – 1710) was an Spanish composer and priest from Aragone. He is well known for his compositions in the Spanish baroque music genre and his influence extends into the twentieth century. He was a gifted guitarist and became an authority on guitar instruction and theory, well documented in his three book study Instruccion de musica sobre la guitarra Espanola. He took advantage of the developments of the guitar as while he was a young man guitars had gained a fifth string and also began to be tuned in fourths much like today.

Waltz In B - 0m53s

A dramatic piece of Classical Waltz music played on the Grand Piano. With superb dynamics and large concert hall sound, modeled on the Concertgebouw Concert Hall, Amsterdam. This piece of music has a gentle Waltz beginning and an explosive end and in places has the feel and sound of Sergei Rachmaninov.

The word Waltz is derived from the old German verb: walzen, which means to turn, roll, or glide. The dance itself seems to have origins in mountainous rural areas of Austria and Bavaria and also in the suburbs of Vienna. It dates back far back as the seventeenth century. The simple melodies and tunes that accompanied this early form of the waltz, usually sung or yodeled, also survived and provide the basic theme for many pieces of Waltz music. Franz Lanner and Johann Straus were very popular composers for the Waltz during the Nineteenth century and the Waltz became very popular in the Western world. The basic Waltz is danced in 3/4 time with accent on the first beat and a basic pattern of step-step-close. The Waltz is still a popular dance and the two principal dances today main are the Modern Waltz and the Viennese (Quick) Waltz.

This piece of royalty free music lends itself to many types of applications in the media particularly film production, documentaries and advertising because of its short and concise nature. This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.

Catena d'Amore - 1m12s

An excellent example of late Renaissance dance music. Written by the distinguished Italian choreographer Cesare Negri Milanese in 1604. Originally, this piece of music would probably have been played on the Lute although larger arrangements for several instruments may exist. The Lute is a Renaissance stringed instrument with a fretted neck and a rounded body.

Cesare Negri Milanese (1535 – 1606) was an Italian composer, dancer, and choreographer. Mostly known as one of the principal dance writers of the late Renaissance period, an accolade he shared with Fabrito Caroso. Both wrote dances in a similar style though Negri’s are thought to be more complex. His 1602 work Le Gratie d’Amore is acknowledged as the first main text to document the principle of the “five basic positions”. Cesare was born in Milan and created a dance academy there circa 1554 while also advising the Milan court on Choreography.
This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download and can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.
Running Water (No Lead Guitar) - 2m09s

A Funk Rock instrumental featuring very busy funky bass guitar employing the slap bass technique. The electric guitar is classic Jimi Hendrix style rhythm guitar that is both lyrical and percussive at the same time. The acoustic drums are quite rocky and could be compared to the Red Hot Chili Peppers style of drumming. This peice of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download. This piece of music can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file. To suit all kinds of media especially podcast, video and website productions and film production.

A short history of Funk Rock: Jimi Hendrix was probably the first Rock Guitarist to blend the choppy rhythms and guitar lines of early funk to his own music. “Manic Depression” displays some very clever Funk Rock guitar lines and the wild soloing in “Voodoo Chile” has become a kind of template for Guitar players to let rip their imagination on hard Funk Rock instrumentations. A noteworthy Jimi Hendrix album featuring good funk guitar and funk rhythms throughout is Band of Gypsys , the song "Power of Soul" being a great example of this.

The 1970s supremo for Funk Rock has to be George Clinton who incidentally had played with James Brown. In fact James Brown is never too far away from the epicenter of Funk music and was very important in the development of the Funk genre. But it was former members of his band, Maceo Parker, Bootsy Collins and also the very talented guitarist Eddie Hazel that helped define that 70s funk rock sound with groups like, Funkadelic and Parliament. Maggot Brain and Mothership Connection are two albums of classic Stature from these two bands. Clinton's influence is undeniable and can be heard with modern Hip Hop artists such as Snoop Doggy dog and Jimi Hendix’s most obviously influenced band today is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Many other artists and bands share these influences, such as Prince, Jane's Addiction, Fishbone, Primus, Living Colour, Spin Doctors and Lenny Kravitz.

Greensleeves (Version 1) - 1m56s

"Greensleeves" needs little introduction and is well known as a traditional English folk song from the medieval period. Performed on a classical guitar this romantic song would originally have been played on a Lute. This version is set to a moderate tempo. A slower version is also available. This piece of royalty free music is available for instant purchase and download. This piece of music can be bought as a stereo mp3 at 320 kbps or as a 16 bit stereo WAV file.

It is believed to have been written at sometime in the 1580s or at least first published at that time by the London Stationer's Company and was titled "A New Northern Dittye of the Lady Greene Sleeves". It was also known by different names such as "A New Courtly Sonnet of the Lady Green Sleeves. To the new tune of Green sleeves.”: See Extract below.

Perhaps one of the most interesting unproven facts about Greensleeves is that King Henry VIII (1491–1547) composed it as a dedication to one of his wives to be, Anne Boleyn. Disappointingly it would seem that old Henry did not coin the tune as its particular style was not known of in England until long after the King had passed away.

The song itself, see extract below, is ultimately about the Lady of the song rejecting her lover’s advances and goes someway to dispel the belief that the Lady was somehow promiscuous due to her wearing green, which was seen as having sexual connotations in the Medieval period.

Extract of “Greensleeves” lyrics:

Alas, my love, you do me wrong,
To cast me off discourteously.
For I have loved you well and long,
Delighting in your company.

Chorus:
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
And who but my lady greensleeves.

Strong features of Funky house music is very tight syncopated Drums and percussion couple with Funk Groove Bass guitar, much of the time played in the Slap style made famous by Bass Players such as Bernard Edwards of Chic, Jaco Pastorius, Paul Jackson. Electric piano usually plays a big part creating lush mellow chord structures, typically quite extended chords such as 13ths 6/9ths and many other chords usually the preserve of Jazz musicians.
